Here are three tricks to help you look instantly slimmer in photos

Trick 1: Celebs use this pose all.the.time – even the skinny ones!)

Looking at the lens head-on can make you look larger. Rather turn your body (slightly) sideways and place one foot in front of the other, placing your weight on your back foot.

Trick 2: Camera-facing hand on your hip!

Another favourite used by celebrities. Why? It ensures that your upper arm is not squashed against your body making it look larger and flatter than it is.

Trick 3: Copy the Duchess of Cambridge

If you happen to be sitting down the next time a happy snapper comes at you with a camera, sit like the Duchess. It’s known as the ‘Duchess slant’ and it makes your legs and ankles look thinner.
